As part of the Group’s growth strategy, Rubix has acquired ADL, holding company of Lima Adhesifs – a leading French distributor of adhesive tape solutions.
Lima is a well-known highly-technical, service-led business specialising in the customisation and distribution of adhesive tapes.
The product offer includes functional, eco-friendly, masking and packaging tapes while services include cutting, shaping and printing, new product development and product traceability.
Product development capabilities coupled with established traceability processes allow the business to meet the needs of demanding industries. This includes the aeronautical sector’s stringent product certification processes, and the food and beverage industry’s requirements for eco-friendly products suited to food contact.
A family business founded in 1979 by parents of the current managers, Marie Marquet and Bruno Daigueperse, Lima delivers annual sales of c.€30m with a track record of consistent profitable growth and a significant contribution from own brand sales.
Located in Limoges, the business has one major site that includes the warehouse and workshop while the technical sales team covers all regions in France. There are 108 employees in total, which includes 56 technical experts in the workshop.
Marie and Bruno will remain with the business to oversee an extended period of transition.
Commenting on the acquisition, Franck Voisin, CEO of Rubix in France, said: “I’m delighted to welcome a leading name in the French adhesives market to our Group.
“This expands our expertise in the adhesives category while supporting our ambitions to continue developing the Rubix own brand offer.”
Marie and Bruno added: “More than 40 years after our parents started the business, we are pleased to have found a new owner that will protect Lima’s proud history while giving it the best possible opportunity to accelerate its growth.
“Rubix complements our focus on technical expertise while giving our customers access to a broader product and service offer across multiple categories. We are looking forward to supporting Rubix’s growth in France while seeing our business expand through this new phase of its development.”
