He joined Rubix in 2019 as COO for the UK, Ireland and Iceland (UKII).

Following three years as COO, Vince McGurk has been appointed CEO for Rubix UKII. He will report directly to Group CEO Martin Thomsen and sit on the Group management committee.

With extensive experience in the manufacturing and logistics sectors, he started his career as a production manager at Wilkinson Sword before joining packaging solutions leader CHEP where he held several senior operations and logistics roles.

From there, he moved to ATS Euromaster, part of the Michelin group, as the operations director for the UK and Ireland, and then for all of Europe.

After that, he led supply chain at Saint-Gobain Distribution in the UK and Ireland before spending three-and-a-half years as the managing director at Pullman Fleet Services, part of Wincanton plc.

The appointment makes him the latest senior promotion from the Rubix talent pool, following Tiziano Biasoli’s appointment as CEO of Rubix in Italy, announced late last year.

Commenting on the appointment, Martin Thomsen said: “Vince stood out in a very strong field of internal and external candidates thanks to his extensive commercial experience, deep industry knowledge and outstanding leadership capability.

“It’s great to see home grown stock taking on vital leadership positions in our Group, and it serves as reminder that we can attract, develop and retain the best people in our industry.”
