Rubix has completed the acquisition of Technidis, a regional market-leading distributor of tools and general maintenance products and services in a key industrial area.
With 140 employees generating sales of approximately €30m per year from seven branches, the business also adds expertise in welding, PPE and lifting to the existing Rubix offer in the Nantes and St Nazaire region and the greater western France region.
Founded in 1920 in St Nazaire, the business has been owned by the Lory family since 1985.
Technidis CEO Tanguy Lory will remain with the business to oversee a period of transition.
Commenting on the acquisition, Franck Voisin, CEO of Rubix in France, said: “I am delighted to welcome this established and respected business to Rubix. With a stronghold in the regional manufacturing industries, the team will help to build our presence in the area.”
Mr Lory added: “This is an exciting moment for our business that enables us to continue our growth and improve the offer we can take to our customers, thanks to the product range and availability that comes with being part of the Rubix Group, as well as the wide range of value-added services.”
