Increased production time

Business situation

A manufacturer of concrete blocks had to stop production every 15 minutes to allow the manual checking of the height of the block.

This caused the loss of production equivalent to 8 hours per week.

Business approach

Rubix suggested installing six Schneider ultrasonic sensors to measure the depth of the concrete blocks with a precision of 0.9mm.

Connected to the sensors is an interface that alerts you when a block is out of tolerance, allowing virtually uninterrupted production.

Outcome / saving

This new sensor had significantly increased production time, removing the need for manual checking of the block height, resulting in less downtime.
