Rubix detected that a customer was using different branded hand tools. Every person could choose any tool from the market (spread between references, brands etc).
Using different suppliers lead to long delivery times.
Business approach
Rubix analysed the current hand tools used on site and identified the Roebuck equivalent.
900 references have been created in the Alcoa ERP and loaded into the Rubix BPA with associated item codes. All the hand tools are in consignment, so immediately available.
Outcome / saving
Roebuck equivalents are on average 60% lower than current prices.
Rubix has created a booklet/handout for the end users, including pictures, so they can request tools easily. Consignment Stock savings were also captured.
